Andrea Dedò play in important events and milongas in Italy and Europe, and is resident DJ of the "Milonga Camila".

He is also Dancer and Tango Teacher. Is the creator of the Italian Tango magazine "El Tanguero" www.eltanguero.it, as well as creator and artistic director of the International L'Aquila Tango Festival, www.laquilatangofestival.com.

“The tango is Tango! I think that there isn’t the old and the new, it is simply TANGO ... if in the music are “tanguedad” all ready ... a bailar, if on the contrary the legs of the dancers do not feel the call of the music the milonga stops...

 

That's why in my evenings, in addition to trust my ear as a musician who helps me in choosing the best music produced by orchestras in the last 100 years, I "listen" to my legs and my “milonguero” heart to the choose of danceable tracks to guide the energy of the milonga. Perceiving the needs and tastes of the dancers present and create a musical wave every night, a stream tanguero in which to vibrate the souls and bodies of the tangueros in the room… This give me satisfaction!

 

My innate curiosity led me over the years to study the great orchestras: from the “guardia vieja” to the “guardia nueva”, the golden age of tango, but also the new generation and today‘s orchestras. The study of the greats musicalizadores, the tradition of Buenos Aires breathed in my stay in the capital porteña between nights  in milonga and afternoons in record stores. All this leads me to play in a traditional manner consistent with tandas by the same author and from the same era.”
